Lost Pennsylvania Drivers License

If you lost your license, it was stolen or if you never received the license you applied for, please follow these instructions: Your first step is to find a photo center near you. You'll need to fill out and print a DL-901 application for a renewal, replacement, update of a drivers license. All new residents with out-of-state non-commercial driver’s licenses must obtain a PA Driver’s License within 60 days of establishing Pennsylvania residency. To apply, you must appear in person at one of our Driver License Centers.

Should you ever come across someone's lost driver's license, how would you go about getting it back to them? The answer is simpler than you might think.

If you're in the US, you can just drop the ID into any postbox, and the postal service will take care of getting it back its owner, no stamp required. Once I read this, I realized I had no idea what I would have done if I found a lost ID. It's nice to know that it's this simple, and doesn't require any phone calls or paperwork on the good samaritan's part.

The flip side of this is to be sure to update your license every time you move. If you have an old address listed, your ID might never get back to you, or could even end up in some else's hands.

LPT: If you find a lost driver's license, you can drop it any USPS mailbox as is. The post service will deliver it back to the driver. | Reddit

Renew Your Pennsylvania Driver's License

Having a valid driver's license is required to operate your vehicle in Pennsylvania, which means you'll need to renew it when the expiration date approaches. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) handles all driver's license renewal applications.

If you need specific details about renewing a different type of driver's license or permit, please visit our following pages:

PennDOT issues federally-compliant REAL ID driver’s licenses in addition to non-compliant licenses. As of October 1, 2020, only the REAL ID will function as federal identification for domestic travel and entry into federal and military buildings—a standard license will not after this date.

You have the choice to renew for a non-compliant license or upgrade to a REAL ID license upon renewal. https://omgclip.netlify.app/buy-spss-for-mac.html. For more detail, visit PennDOT's guide to REAL IDs.
