Mar 20, 2019 That's why people who had high page file usage before CleanMem notice the biggest improvements after using CleanMem. CleanMem is FREE (Only the Mini Monitor is Free/Pro) and is there for users who want it. Don't know if it will work or help? Don't take the word from others who don't bother trying it.

Cleanmem Review

Popularity:
The CleanMem application was designed to be a very simple to operate as it will run and clean the memory out of all processes it can, without any user input.
Some antivirus programs and such protect their processes so of course cleanmem can't touch those.
The program will install and set it to run every 30 min via the windows task scheduler. Install it and your done! The program doesn't run in the background, once it does its job it closes and doesn't run again until the task scheduler runs it.
Note from FreewareFiles: Some of the features in the free version will work for 7 days, after which, will be disabled unless you upgrade to the Pro version.
'v- 2.4.3 (.exe)'

Pros: Works really well #2 I was looking for an app were the tray icon IS the display of RAM usage (hover over for further info).
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: The download offered here is a zip file. I went to their site, got exe file (same version).
Nothing against zip files but why an app of this type (and size--installed 5.24mb) is portable , I know not.
Anyway, functionality should be the same.
So...
From their site:
The Mini Monitor is the only part of CleanMem that is the Free/Pro. All features in the mini monitor from v1.7.0 are included and still free, including some new features that where added as well.
The Pro version of the mini monitor is simply extra features, such as tools and information.
Run their wizard for settings.
The default auto clean [auto runtime] is every 15 minutes --task scheduler.
I changed this to every 5 minutes (to better view any impacts and if that works for me, I'll keep it there).
This alteration , along with many other commands are listed in right-click on tray icon.
As noted above, I just wanted tray icon always showing [show/hide monitor].
This app is working very well, low resource suckage (is that a word?).
I see no negative operational impact.
The best memory optimizer I have come across (and I've been around); however, if I note any negatives/lags in differing situations such as flash streams, games , music play, etc...I'LL BE BACK. :O
