P: n/a | there is an open source accounting program in Microsoft Access. I did not know that C# was not strong enough to have it's own Accounting application oh yeah; C# does not support _MONEY_ because dotnet is _BLOATWARE_ On Feb 13, 7:22 am, Ciaran O'Donnell <CiaranODonn...@discussions.microsoft.comwrote: An accouting package is a big project to make without being able to get any money for it. I am looking for an open source accounting application written in C#. I have looked at maybe doing something with Accounting Express, but I wanted to know some opinions. The reason I am looking for open source is that this package is the same as every other package except some of the rules and deductions are very particular to these clients. The clients are mainly government employees so the package needs to except all the weird accounting that comes with being a government employee.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - |

I've found a couple C#/SQL Server accounting apps that can be had with source code and a royalty free run time for $150k+ and that would be fine for greenfield development funded by a large bankroll, but for smaller apps, that sort of capital outlay isn't feasible.
